As The Numbers Minus

As most American cable-news watching citizens know, cable-news is always on. Yet the faces on these shows rarely say anything with substance. On August the tenth one of these talk-show-news hosts displayed his passion on air. The conversation was changed. It's not just the Dem's and the Repubs. It's when people use the system to steal great amounts of money from us and then blame the other person. Basically hijacking the capitalistic system, using the government to do so. In my view, Mr. Ratigan is not upset for the sake of a political point of view point. No, he is trying to form the conversation. The investigation. The discussion that is not being widely discussed on cable-news: The U.S.A. is being robbed from the inside. It is a horrible statement but I think it is really true. I do not think he "lost it". He's just talking about something that no one else wants to talk about.

Here is the full TV segment & the topic of my post.

He makes a very good point. I ask: why is it that the majority of journalists do not sound like him? Where is the heat?

I would suggest something to him (Mr. Ratigan). Although you know about the stock market and money, maybe you should learn a bit more about the political system. Then you can better interview your fellow guest.

Say What With Those Lyrics?

I don't understand how so many good tunes have such strange or bad lyrics. The songs are fun but the lyrics are just ...horrible. Yes, I said horrible because they don't make any logical meaning.

Here are my three examples of "good song & bad lyrics":

1.
Band: Coldplay
Song: Rainy Day
Lyrics: "The deeper that the knife goes in
The more you win
You end up with less than where you begin
The deeper that the knife goes in..Oh oh.."

My reaction: What does that mean? I thought this was a hip song? If you would like another wacky lyrical piece from Coldplay, take a listen to the song Yellow.

2.
Band: Eagles
Song: Hotel California
Lyrics: "So I called up the captain,
’please bring me my wine’
He said, ’we haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine’
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say..."

My reaction: Why does this song sound relaxing yet the lyrics are confusing and creepy? Yes, a little exaggeration on me but this song is too popular. How is this song a "hit" and why do the lyrics make he dislike this song? Welcome to the hotel California... OK... what is this song about captain?

3.
Band: Radiohead
Song: Lotus Flower
Lyrics: "Listen to your heart it will sneak myself into your pocket
Invisible, do what you want, do what you want
I will sink and I will disappear
I will slip into the groove and cut me up and cut me up"

My Reaction: Again, another song with an OK tune but with horrible lyrics that sound recycled from other record with the same meaning. Huh? That is what I hear when I read this too.

This is just a sample of the weird lyric songs out there. Just read the lyrics to some of your favorite songs and figure it out.

Party Over

Hello, yes I have been away for a long time. Hello again, I shall leave it at that. I was away, as was obvious.

Today I post about the topic of politics as it is dealing with the United States of America; the national level. First, I would like to say that I enjoy America and I like the USA. It is a fanstastic land. I am also able to `critic the country to which I am also glad as part of speech freedoms. I like Amecia but not the "political leaders" in D.C. Bah! As we all know!

In the current news the debt limit is being debated about with much jabbering on both teams. It is not about the Tparty the D the R the Pz. It is about U taking the blame and striving to do better. Not bitter. Arg!

Working With This

This is about work.
That thing that was never set up to be easy but I do think it was a rule that one must do. I think a person can enjoy work and possibly do a work that is indeed looked upon as quality. Sometimes the best result can come from the hardest of time, effort or energy. Is that to say all work should be produced as such? Well, who wants to answer that question? Or who really cares about such a Q? I type Q because it is a short way of typing "question", yet just explaining why I typed "Q" did not shorting anything except maybe having to explain why I .... end there for now. Continuing, I do think there is a bad work and a good work. To dive into such a subject is faintly hard to imagine. All I can say is do the work you enjoy and do it with care and strength. Accomplish.

O how harsh the world seems yet so little we need that so much we may want is but something that is already here. Could it be from a poem?

What? Home & Family

Well summer is almost over and I thought I might share a thought with all of the unknown readers. Excuse my typing style if you welcome.

The family. The home. It can be such a warm and safe place. Or it can be a place of confusion, fear, anger, madness and not being able to sleep at night. I am writing this because I saw the movie film poster for Life As We Know It. The image is sad and sick. A family is shown as a mess of confusion. Comedy is the only remedy the movie can provide. That poster is all too fashionable in this world I live in. Family to me is important and special. It is something that is always growing and something that should be respected. Bah! A shattered family make a home that is inhabited with just a bunch of people, confused and desperate. If you live like this I don't need to describe it at all. You know all about it. I have been fortunes to live in a family that is caring and kind. Home is a sweet word, yet trouble is brewing.

Do not settle for the cheap tickets in life. Take your time and remember the present. Do not rush to be the dream master. Be real, not popular. Mistakes will be made. Learn from them = get better when you are not good. It is not as hard as it seems. There is something bigger than what is going on at this moment in time.

Summer Heat

The heat is on. Do I let it get to me? Or do I conquer it? That is the question during this time. It is not just the heat. It is also the setting.

6/25/2010

I wake up late, close to afternoon. I see someone I know in my home with a bag of chips. He sneaks around and says hello as if nothing is wrong. He is a neighbor. He talks to me about pipes all day long. He loves the plumbing work. I am retired from plumbing but I still have some knowledge of that area of interest. He wants to go to Bakers City to purchase a new pipe that is very rare. The city is 60 miles away and I dislike driving. I end up being convinced to go. The journey begins as I begin to drive. My neighbor is in the car with me and we drive to Bakers City. He will also buy me a souvenir. Possibly a silver pipe for the trouble. Long story short, we returned and it did go well. My neighbor got his rare pipe and he bought me a silver pipe. Plus we found a wrench for very cheap. The day is not over untill it is over. Sometimes that can be bad.

I was surprised that the day got better. .
